Queenstown Pedallers

Beginners to experienced riders – men and women of all ages – having fun mountainbiking and road cycling. They go out every weekend and a couple of weekdays, always in the morning, unless the weather prevents it. No one rides alone and rides always end with coffee.

Wakatipu Walkers

This informal group tackles two different trails (one easier, one harder) in the Queenstown Lakes District for 50 Thursdays each year. The walks are graded and take between 2 and 6 hours. Walks usually finish up at a café. Check out the website for the timetable and join the Facebook group for more information and updates.

Millbrook Cricket Club

The cricket club caters for over-40s and plays around 15 casual fixtures between November and March.  Games are usually on a Sunday, with home games at Millbrook Corner.

The rugby club has a very successful senior premier team and a thriving junior section. Based in Arrowtown Community Centre at Jack Reid Park, it’s always looking for new members.

Part of the Arrowtown Rugby Club, Arrowtown Netball Club fields competitive and social teams at the Frankton Events Centre.

Arrowtown Tennis Club

Senior club nights Tuesdays from 6pm at the courts at Jack Reid Park. New members most welcome. More information on joining from Fran McFarlane 021 299 9829. Coaching available from former ATP tour player Alistair Hunt 021 677 589.

Arrowtown Swim Club

The swimming club runs regular training sessions at the pool in Hertford St from December to March. Junior Swim Club is on Fridays at 6 pm, with BBQ.

The club is situated at 166 Centennial Avenue. Club days are Wednesday and Saturday (men), refer to website for women's programme. Green fees players and new members welcome.

Arrowtown Bowling Club

The rooms are located on the corner of Denbigh and Hertford Streets.  Subs for playing members $170, $40 for social members.  Bowls and flat-soled shoes are available for green fee players. The clubrooms are able to be hired by groups for educational and training purposes.

Meet on Sunday afternoons outside the Library at 3pm in the warmer months. Friendly games of pétanque followed by a social hour.

Queenstown Dog Agility Club

Dog agility is about fun and speed, as your dog runs through an obstacle course. Training is at Lake Hayes Showground or our fenced club paddock in Arrowtown. The only NZKC affiliated club in Central Otago/Southern Lakes.
