After a successful pilot project in 2020, NIWA is again partnering with the Arrowtown Village Association to bring their Community Air Watch project to Arrowtown in winter 2021.
The AVA, along with Dr Ian Longley, Principal Scientist Air Quality at NIWA, invite you to come to the Athenaeum Hall Supper Room on Monday 19 April 7pm to 8pm to discuss air quality and learn more about this project and the indoor and outdoor air quality monitors involved.
NIWA is looking to connect with new community volunteers, especially those living in the south-east corner of the town (east of Centennial Ave and south of Cornwall Street), who might wish to participate in the study for 3 weeks. People who sign up will receive an assessment of air quality inside their home, as well as advice around how it could potentially be improved.
Is it time for action in Arrowtown? Come along and voice your opinion.
You can learn more and sign up as a community volunteer at the NIWA website.
